It was the door that had them both turning, it was the sudden re-shutting and the round of giggling that ensued afterwards that had them both sighing. “Do you literally have fangirls everywhere you go?” Jack asked.

“I do not even know what that mean—”

“Never mind. Go back to work,” Jack said. “Before you get yourself in shit and drag half the office in to trouble with you.”

Mason laughed. “It’s okay. I think I can let it go this one time.”

“Yeah, maybe so. Your boss might have more to say about that though.”

Mason touched his own chest in a gesture that was more embarrassment than pride. “I’m the boss.”

“Yeah, okay—”

“No, no. I really am.” He swirled his finger. “Mine.”

“You build—”

Mason shrugged. “Houses. Kind of. Big ones. With lots of units.”

“But…” Jack began to look around, as if actually seeing the building for the first time. “This is huge.”
