The energy is far from pure. It’s needy, and it’s cloying, and if I wasn’t so completely removed from it, I would have concerns for the safety of my soul. These people are literally that oppressive. It’s no wonder Parker turned out to be so feral. Imagine, if you can, a child amidst these leeches? Can you see the boy’s sleeve-clipped heart (as all boys’ hearts seem to be) at the mercy of these bloodsuckers? There’s no friendship here. No support, or love, or honesty.
