Chapter 31

Arturo redirected his attention to Colin, his eyes reflecting the light from the candle. “What time are you available?”

“After lunch.” It would take some juggling, but Colin figured he could get a cab to Arturo’s hotel from campus, and Grady might let him charge it to the charity. After all, he was working.

“What’re you in the mood for?” Grady asked.

“Oh, just the usual stuff. But I’m going to call around in the morning and see if I can get tickets for a band I think is playing in town.”

“Who?”

“Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.”

Leon reached into his coat pocket. “I can call around now, if you want.”

“No, no, don’t do that.” Arturo smiled at Colin. “I don’t want to drag you anywhere you might hate.”

“I’d love to go with you,” Colin blurted, not realizing how wrong that sounded until after it was said. “I mean, I really like Grace Potter. And I haven’t had the chance to go to a concert since last year.”

“Is this a new band or something?” Grady asked.
