Dinah yanked her arm out of his grip, but before she could give vent to her annoyance, da Rosa glanced at her over his shoulder. “I’m sorry, Doutor. I didn’t mean to cause problems.”
“You didn’t cause anything, Captain.”
“Why don’t you ask David to make the dive?” Sam demanded. “He’s an excellent diver—”
I turned to the captain. “You said you needed me to look for tree roots?”
“Yes. I fear they might tangle in the Adelina’s propellers. If you would see what the bottom looks like?”
