Lance hurried inside the house. He grabbed his laptop, then settled down in the kitchen. Once he was set up at the island, he Googled “ranch security” and was amazed at how many companies popped up. He dove in, starting at the top of the list.


A while later, Landon and Jake came in through the mudroom.


“Casey said you’re looking up security info. Find anything yet?” Landon asked.


“Too many.” It was going to take some time to narrow it down. “Hey, did you guys get the tree?”


Jake grinned. “We did. It’s out back since we had to cut the trunk a little.”


Lance remembered he was going to help dig out the ornaments, but since Wade was busy dealing with the aftermath of the grassfire, Lance figured he may not be able to help. “Landon, do you know where all the ornaments and Christmas décor is stored?”


“Yeah, down in the basement. Want me to show you?”


“That would be great.” Lance could use a break from the computer anyway.
