Casey just laughed, then glanced around the table and cleared his throat. “Um, since everyone is here, we—Allyson and I—have some news.” His brother put his arm around his girlfriend and pulled her closer. “Allyson is moving in.”


That didn’t surprise Wade. And it was about time.


“We were going to wait until next month, once the holidays were over, but we’ve decided to move her in over the next week because…” He smiled shyly at her.


“We just found out…we’re pregnant,” she announced, beaming.


It was like all sound was sucked out of the room as everyone gaped.


Until Lorna came in from the kitchen. “Did I just hear what I think I heard?” she asked, her eyes wide.
