“He took me to the movies, and then suggested we drive up to Lila’s Hill in his Jaguar. There was supposed to be a lunar eclipse that night.”

“Was there?”

“I don’t know. I was too miserable to notice.”

“Did he assault you?” His words were clipped, and he looked furious, as if he’d like nothing better than to tear off Daniel’s head, reach down his neck, and yank his dick up through his body.

“Oh, no, nothing like that.” I felt my cheeks start to burn, but not in pleasure this time. How could I tell this man how stupid I’d been? “That is to say, he told me in the car he was straight.”

“Were you out at school?”

“No.”

“Then why did he do something so idiotic?”

“I asked him the same thing—well, except for the ‘idiotic’ part—and it…it was to more or less enhance his reputation as a stud.” I found I couldn’t say it was to win a bet.

“Well. That’s beyond idiotic. It’s outright stupid!”

“He was eighteen.”

“That’s no excuse. How bad were the repercussions?”
