“Yes, please.” I started to stand, to go to him, but he held up a hand to stop me, then came and filled my glass.

“So if you want to go back to Armand U, we can find a place to live in Charlestown for your senior year.”

“Thank you.” He did have such lovely honey-brown eyes.

“You’re welcome.” He tugged a lock of my hair, then bent forward and stroked a kiss over my mouth. He winked at me and strolled back to his seat.

I could have wriggled like a happy puppy. I touched my tongue to my upper lip, and Geoff nudged my ankle again. Only then did I remember I had guests.

“Sorry. What about you, Mindy? Mindy?”

Her mouth had dropped open, and she stared from Hyde back to me. She put her fork down and swallowed. “Excuse me? I’m sorry. It’s just that I’ve never seen two men kiss.”

“What, never?” Hyde wasn’t pleased

Neither was Geoff. “I think we should change the subject.”
