“Surprises?”

“You knew I wasn’t Sir’s son even before I told you.”

“It wasn’t a smart move on Llewellyn’s part to think I wouldn’t do my research.”

“He doesn’t have a very high opinion of anyone’s intelligence except his own.”

“Stupid to underestimate your opponent.”

“Well, to underestimate you. I guess he was so used to everyone believing he was my father that he didn’t expect anyone to question him. Did he…was he behind the deaths of my parents?”

“We are?” The corner of his mouth curled up in a pleased grin.

“Yes, we are.”

“I like Fiji.”

“I’m aware. So what were you doing today?”

“Oh, I picked up my mother from the airport. I pulled in some favors to get your uncle leave so he could be here for the wedding. I called Doug and told him I wanted him at the engagement party.”
