“But I have to tell you something. Long before you moved in, I went over there one day. Yes, I trespassed and even took it a step further and snuck inside.” He halted again, as if the words were hard to get out. He took his arms away and walked across the room to stare out the window. “The place gave me the creeps. For one, it was clean. In itself that’s not a bad thing, but when you consider no one should have been in that house in decades, it was downright creepy. And the other thing is…well, I felt like I was being watched.”
