Chapter 33

Yet Trevor was right there. It should have made Chase anxious or annoyed. But it calmed him. Like a warm blanket being draped over him. He sighed, not wanting to give in to his body’s desires, but not having the energy to fight it. Gravity was so strong, and it was easy to let their weights fall toward one another, propping each other up as the characters on screen played out their own dramatics.

It was like a warning message flashed in front of his face: Do not fall for the Cute Guy. Drama will follow.

But at this point, wouldn’t drama come no matter what? And so what if he had a little romantic drama in his life? It wouldn’t affect his grades or passing or anything.

Right?

He sighed, and if he sank a little closer to Trevor in the process, well, so be it. Regrets were for tomorrow.

Or later tonight.

His eyes focused back on the screen, but he’d missed something vital, because it didn’t make sense anymore.

Oh well.
