Chapter 41

“Yeah,” Trevor said, completely failing to keep the excitement from his voice.

Chase cranked his head around to narrow his eyes, studying him intently. Trevor dropped his gaze to his phone and fiddled with it, opening and closing apps, wondering why none of his friends were messaging him. (Probably because he’d warned them he was going on a date with Chase and they were notto interrupt.)

“Trevor? Where are we going today?”

He tried really, really hard not to grin, but it wormed its way onto his lips. He gave up and smiled at Chase. “To the museum to see the map exhibit. There’s a special student pricing today and—”

Trevor was cut off by Chase engulfing him in a hug. He didn’t resist, despite the strange looks they were getting. His own heart was too busy pounding excitedly—not for the exhibit, which sounded pretty boring, honestly, but because joy radiated from Chase, and a trilling, ecstatic part of him squealed, I did that!
