“It’s no big deal!” Mike tried, but both girls were glaring daggers at him, ready to kill. “I just posted his paper on one of those sites to make some money. It’s not like I used it myself!”


“Right,” Trevor drolled. “You just posted his paper on a site, which makes it look like he bought the paper, and since the professor was super thorough about checking that sort of thing, Chase was accused of plagiarism and automatically failed the paper.” Dramatic pause. “At least until he proved to the professor that he’d sent his paper to youto proofread before the paper ever appeared on that site.”


Mike went paler. “I didn’t mean for that to happen.”


“Oh my God,” Sarah said, “that doesn’t make it okay or better or whatever! It’s about intention you idiot! You better apologize to him for fucking this up!”


“After you take the paper down,” Annie added with a growl.
