Chapter 16

He had been gazing down at Jonas with so much longing in his heart, he hadn’t been paying attention to anything else. He glanced up at the driver, who was obviously looking back at him and Jonas through the rear-view mirror.

“Thank you. Let me try to pull him out of his deep slumber.”

The driver simply nodded before averting his eyes. Carson gently shook Jonas as he leaned in closer to his ex-boyfriend’s ear.

“Time to wake up now.”

Jonas scrunched his face up in an adorable expression that Carson was familiar with before groaning in a disgruntled tone. “Five more minutes.”

Carson chuckled as he leaned in closer to Jonas’s ear. “Come on, Joe.”

“Five minutes,” Jonas grumbled loudly. “I’m tired.”

“You can’t sleep in the car.”

Jonas opened his eyes slowly at first and took in the surrounding sight before he suddenly sat up. “Oh!”

Carson bit his lower lip to stop himself from laughing at how cute Jonas was at the moment. “You don’t have anything else on your schedule, do you?”
