The circular logic spun around his brain as he worked, Haziel still going into the few finer details he knew about the process. While he looped the last of the twine around Haziel’s left shoulder, feathers traveled up his arm in a light brush of satin. Zeke brought his attention back to Haziel, who was looking at him like he was trying to decipher his thoughts. Zeke still didn’t know if angels could read minds.
“Have I upset you?” Haziel was earnest with his question, expression soft and green eyes wide with it.
“No.” With a literal shake of his head, Zeke pushed away his confusing thoughts. There were things in life that defied explanation and this seemed to be one of them. No point in wasting time to figure this bit out. “No, I was trying to wrap my brain around what you were telling me. I guess I don’t have enough basic knowledge of your existence to make sense of it.”
