Chapter 64

In just a few seconds, they had whooshed all the way up to the twenty-fifth floor. Sean followed the other three men out of the elevator, wondering just how the hell he would get through this day. What would he do when he saw Arliss? Would just one look pass between them that would betray everything? And what good would his being here do anyway? It wasn’t as though he had a gun or anything.

As they waited outside the door for it to be answered, Mohawk turned to him. “Man, I gotta tell you, I am so jealous of that bottom. I’d give anything to be in his shoes.”

Sean noticed how the pupils in the guy’s eyes were so large they just about blotted out the blue of his irises. “Hey…maybe the guy will trade you.”

“No way, dude. I hear this guy was handpicked for the part.”

Sean’s heart sank at his words. Before he could say anything further, Josh Tyler opened the door.

“Gentlemen!” He smiled at them and stepped back, opening the door wider. “Please come in.”
