Chapter 32

“Would you…come with me?”

She stilled. When he dared to look at her, her eyes were wide and luminous.

“You’d want me and Woody to do that?”

Kenneth’s first impulse was to deny it, try to take back his words. Of course, he would never ask her to abandon her home and bring her sonwith them as they ran from the law.But he wanted her, and he wasn’t going to shy away from the fact.

“I would want you both to be with me.”

Amy pulled him back down, tightening her arms and legs to prompt him into moving. Her breath, fervent and quick at his ear, tickled where it rolled down his skin.

“We’ll work it out.” A kiss pressed against his neck. “Together.”

“Together,” Kenneth echoed, feeling both weakened and strengthened by the promise. He turned his head, seeking out her lips, and once their mouths connected her legs loosened, giving him the space he needed to start moving in slow, shallow strokes. He craved the friction, but he didn’t want to put any space between his body and her warmth.
