Ben made his boyfriend sit on the couch and saw he had a pillow to prop up his arm.
“Wait, why?”
“You’re injured. You’re going to supervise while I decorate the tree.”
“When you said you’d do all the work, I thought you had something else in mind.” Jason grumbled, but Ben just laughed.
“Later.”
“Is that a promise?”
“You bet.”
“Fine,” Jason groused. “Do the lights first.”
“Aye, aye, skipper.” Ben tossed off a salute and laughed again when Jason flipped him off. He wound strings of multi-colored lights around the tree, then plugged them in to make sure they worked.
Nice.
“Okay, tinsel garlands now,” Jason ordered. It tickled Ben to watch his boyfriend study the tree so intently before giving a decisive nod. “Silver first, and then the gold.”
The tinsel garlands went faster than the lights, and Jason smiled, his pleasure obvious. “Good job, babe.”
Ben bowed. “What do you want me to do next?”
