Chapter 10

Another time, another place, maybe Dustin would have asked Ronan for a drink. He’s older, sure—that has never bothered Dustin—but cops, even ex-cops, aren’t usually his thing. Ronan is very good-looking though, nothing like Dustin, but he doesn’t really have a type.

Usually when he felt a spark like this he would be hoping to see the guy again, but this time seeing Ronan again would be a bad thing. It would mean being arrested, which is the last thing Dustin wants, but he’s not giving up on the case.

Ronan’s cell phone rings as he’s getting in his car in the campus parking lot—it’s Chris, so Ronan answers.

“Hi, Chris, you got more info?” Ronan asks.
