Dustin nods, and he doesn’t seem bugged by Ronan not opening up fully. “You’re the stoic type, it works for you. You don’t need to bare your soul to everyone you meet. I totally get that.”

“I think this is the part of the trail they found the blood on,” Ronan says, recognizing a tree and a bolder from one of the many pictures he had looked at.

“I haven’t seen another person out here. But then, it’s cold. Only the diehard runners and joggers come out to the woods to run in this weather,” Dustin says.

“He had privacy to take her, but he would have had to travel to take her to a car, carrying her. So he’s definitely strong. And I’m certain he drugged her to make sure no one heard her screaming or calling for help,” Ronan says, wandering around the path, looking for missed clues, signs of something supernatural.
