But if he admits it to himself, he’s been having a few thoughts about Ronan, like what that strong body would look like naked, how it would feel to be pinned underneath Ronan, or maybe up against a wall.

“Dustin?” Ronan calls.

Dustin startles; he hadn’t even realized that Ronan had finished his phone call.

“I’m sorry if I scared you.”

“No, it’s fine. I was in my own little world,” Dustin says, cursing his cheeks for blushing. He’s still a little on edge from being attacked in the forest. To start with he’d felt okay, but now he could do with a quiet space to decompress.

“I was thinking it’s getting late and it’s been a while since we ate. We should probably call it a night. Go get something to eat. And hopefully Harry will have sent me the narrowed-down list of possible creatures once we’ve finished dinner,” Ronan suggests.

Dustin nods. “Sounds like a plan to me.”

“So are you sure you’re okay?” Ronan asks.
