Chapter 53

“Can you tell them what it looks like?” Ronan asks, hoping it’ll distract Dustin from his nerves.

“Do you have plain paper and a pencil?” Dustin replies.

“Yes, why?” Ronan waves his hand at Lisa who rolls her eyes and gets Dustin the supplies. Well, she did insist on being in charge of stationery. The rest of them never remembered to order anything new, and Rick and Alan tended to pull pranks on each other involving Post-it Notes, wallpapering things like the inside of Alan’s car.

“It’d be easier to draw the Sanguisdemon than try and describe it.” Dustin shrugs.

Lisa hands Dustin some paper and pencils and he thanks her.

“You can draw faces?” Ronan asks.

“I didn’t say I could do detail after the cartoon? Dustin sets the paper down on the desk and starts drawing.

“No, you didn’t.” Ronan goes back to making the tea, but he’s oddly surprised he hasn’t seen Dustin draw anything but the rough pen sketch.
