Eventually, the car door opened. “I’m telling you, he will be fine once he gets on the plane,” Paulo’s voice oozed. “He just tends to get a bit rocky in flight, so I gave him a little something.”
“It don’t look like you went for ‘little,’” said the other voice.
“Yes, yes, a tiny error in judgment on my part,” Paulo said dismissively. “So if you could kindly help me bring this man…”
Daniel ventured a peek through hooded lashes. A small man dressed in what looked to be a mechanic’s jumpsuit stood next to the car with a wheelchair. Daniel suppressed the urge to laugh. How the two of them hoped to get Daniel out of the car was beyond him, let alone onto the plane sitting in the hangar. Though he grudgingly gave props to Paulo for somehow being able to get him inthe car. Not detecting a third person close by, Daniel figured he could easily overpower the two men and escape.
