“That girl is an ex. She accused me of having a cold heart,” Drew says softly, looking at the picture.
“Can you write down her name and details? We’ll need to talk to her,” Andy says.
“Is she in danger?” Drew asks.
“Probably not, but we’ll offer her protection until this case is closed,” Detective Watson offers, and then he moves to the next envelope: Penny’s.
The picture is of her in her yard, at her home, playing with her dog. She has an eye on the back of hers, too, but hers is drawn in brown pen.
“I’m guessing it means he’s watching me?” Penny asks.
“Put the two eyes together,” Zeke says softly, and Detective Watson does.
Brenton looks at the eyes: one blue, one brown, and he looks at Zeke, and his beautiful eyes, one bright blue, one a rich brown.
“Don’t jump to conclusions.” Andy looks troubled, despite his words.
Detective Watson opens Kelly’s envelope next. Holds up a picture of Kelly sunbathing at her and Penny’s home.
“I’m watching you,” Detective Watson reads.
