Bert has been making cryptic tweets about a big interview and a huge story, but he hasn’t run his mouth, yet. People are speculating, but the truth isn’t fully out there yet. Brenton and the others think that Bert is probably looking for the highest price he can get for his story, considering he doesn’t have proof. And every dollar will probably end up snorted.


Brenton thinks Jamie’s been talking to people to try and keep a lid on things, and maybe it’s helping. She’s trying to give him time to do things on his own terms.


Jed and Donnie are curled up on a couch, waiting for them. Donnie has a Twizzler hanging from his mouth, and Jed steals it when Donnie says hello. Brenton laughs. They’re so cute together, even a cynic like Brenton can appreciate it, and he’s not the type who gets gushy over cutsie things.


“Hey guys,” Jed says, taking a bite of his stolen candy.


“Be ready to pee your pants.” Donnie grins.
