“I thought I would never see you.” He lifted his head, and then seeing Gideon wasn’t the most important thing. He needed to taste him, too. He sought out Gideon’s lips, hungry for the contact.

He’d dreamed about it, of course. Relived every moment of contact he could. Tortured himself with memories, especially after finding the book in the library. But all of that paled in light of the firm mouth now devouring his. Kissing Gideon now was almost like kissing him for the very first time. Heady. Intoxicating. Drenched in newfound hope and adoration.

A broad hand smoothed over his back, and a shudder wracked through him. Gideon groaned.

“You feel so good,” he said against Jesse’s mouth. “I never thought anything could feel so good again.”
