Instead, he just smiled. “I’d like that, too.”

The tension in Trev’s body evaporated, his shoulders slumping. “Shit, I didn’t realize how scared I was you were going to say it’s been swell, but no thanks.”

“Not a chance. You’re the best thing that’s happened to me in a long time. I’d love to figure out where we go from here.”

“I know it won’t be easy. Long distance relationships never are.”

He liked that word. Probably more than Trev did. “The first step is to decide we’re exclusive.”

“Yes,” Trev agreed without pause. “And I’d like to introduce you to my friends.”

“The band doesn’t count?”

He laughed. “Honestly? Only Ossie matters.”

“And you’ve met my friends.”

“I’ve only met Tatum.”

“She’s the one who counts.” On a whim, he pulled his phone out and slid it across the table. “In fact, call her now and tell her what you just told me. About working this out more long-term. If I do it, she’ll never believe me.”
