Jayden rolls his eyes, but he’s still smiling. “It’s okay. I really got some weird looks being walked in there. Joshua had to come bail me out. He had to convince them I was a sleepwalker and not some weirdo pervert trying to flash people.”
“So you didn’t get charged?” Chogan asks.
“No, luckily. Would have had to ditch another fake identity.” Jayden cups his mug in both hands and just holds it there, and Chogan can’t help but notice he has nice hands. They’re big, strong looking, not as scarred as many hunters tend to get, but then, as a werewolf, he can heal more than the average hunter.
“I guess I was lucky, then. I wasn’t seen by anyone who called the cops.” Chogan smiles.
“Yeah, trust me, it’s not a fun experience. I’m pretty sure Joshua was a little mortified about having to pick up a naked guy from jail.”
“I’d imagine that would raise a few eyebrows,” Chogan agrees.
