“That’s unusual, isn’t it? For someone to be able to mask their scent?” Chogan asks. He’s heard of witches that can do that, but Chogan had thought that was just a myth.


Chogan doesn’t know if he should bring up witches, though—if he should bring up the fact that he’s felt a little weird since he came into town too, like Jayden. Because Jayden has the excuse of being a werewolf. Chogan doesn’t dare tell them why he’s different.


In all the years he’s known Elijah, he’s never told Elijah the truth about his past. Chogan’s told Elijah his parents were killed by a dark magic practitioner, but he never mentioned that his parents were also witches, or that Chogan is a witch, just not practicing.
