Chapter 16

As he starts driving, Chogan has the sinking feeling that he’s really, really screwed. 3

It shouldn’t come as a surprise to see Chogan and Elijah together like that, but for Jayden it’s still a painful jolt as he stands outside his motel room. He should look away, but he doesn’t. He watches as they quickly part and get in the truck and drive off.

Jayden has known they were sleeping together. He’s smelled it, but seeing it makes it more real. He’s jealous; Jayden has to admit it, if only to himself. It’s not a new feeling, being jealous of Eli’s bed partners. It’s not even a new feeling being jealous of Chogan. But before, he’d only heard of Chogan and smelled his scent.

He’s met Chogan now, and he’s nice. Talking to Chogan in the coffee shop this morning, it had felt a little like meeting a guy he liked for a drink. Chogan is attractive, and Jayden can see why Elijah likes him. Chogan is handsome, and he seems like a good guy.
