“I’m outside the station now. They’ve classed all the deaths as animal attacks, apparently because of pressure from the mayor’s office. He doesn’t want people thinking his town has a problem like a serial killer. Thinks it’ll cause a panic, so it’s all being kept quiet. Which makes it harder for us to investigate.” Joshua sighs.
Jayden snorts. “Like people thinking there’s a rabid animal attacking people won’t cause a panic?”
“I guess he thinks a wild animal is less scary than a human,” Joshua says, and Jayden would bet he shrugged.
“I don’t recognize these symbols.”
“Me neither. But I’ve never seen a werewolf do that to a kill before.”
