“The usual. You know—school, work. My other job.” He shrugged. “Nick’s up to his eyeballs in all of this stuff with the Parental Notification bill, which is mind-boggling. I can’t believe that nonsense has any traction.”
“Right?” That, at least, Luke could talk about. He could talk about it all day, given an opportunity. “I’ve been fighting it as hard as I can, but it doesn’t feel like there’s much I can do. I don’t have a lot to donate, and protesting only goes so far when your congressmen are falling all over themselves to support it.”
“I know.” He rolled his magnificent eyes. “Did you see him on TV the other night?”
“I saw the clip.” Luke looked down, and Evan laughed a little.
“It turned you on, didn’t it?”
“Maybe.” Luke looked back up at him. “Is that bad?”
