Chapter 20

“I’m up for almost anything. I’m willing to hear you out, at least.” Two spots of color appeared in Luke’s cheeks.

“I do admire your open mind. I really do.” Nick grinned. “You know how Evan’s stuck in Miami.”

Luke nodded. “I do. It’s rough. I miss him. It must be harder on you, because you actually live with him.”

It was too early to talk about that, but maybe someday it could happen. “Yes. Thanks for thinking of me. It’s just as hard on him. His parents weren’t exactly attentive and being apart from the people he cares about is challenging. I want to do something special for him tonight.”

Luke blinked. “Flying into Miami might be a bit much. I mean by the time you got there he’d be asleep. I don’t know what goes into modeling but it seems to take a lot out of him.”
