Chapter 6

He aimed his arrows at his two charges one right after the other. The arrows were connected by a red thread. The moment the two arrows pierced through the hearts of both of his charges, they got up and strolled slowly toward a secluded corner at the back of the room. Then they beamed at each other as they made their way toward a couple of chairs and sat on them while conversing softly. Unfortunately, they were close enough to Galen, and he could hear them loud and clear while they flirted with each other. He called upon his angelic magic to take away his bow and arrows before he folded his arms across his chest and intentionally stared at the front of the room. He wanted to stay for a minute or two before he received his next assignment.

“A cupid, I presume?”
