Chapter 7

Dion must have caught on to Galen’s genuine feeling because he raised both of his eyebrows in response. Galen pointedly refused to look in Dion’s direction afterward. Then he was startled when he heard Dion chortling softly next to him.

“You don’t fit the image of a cupid that I have inside my head,” Dion explained even before Galen was able to voice out his question.

Galen was relieved Dion didn’t seem inclined to inquire about the reason for his earlier tone of voice, but he also didn’t quite know how he was supposed to react to the young man’s previous statement. He stared at Dion in silence for quite a while.

“What do you mean?” Galen eventually asked.

“I thought cupids are supposed to be adorable angels with tiny and fluffy white wings on their backs.”

Galen scowled. “Perish the thought. I don’t look like that.”

“Obviously. Even your attire is unexpected.”

Galen studied his clothes for a few seconds. “What do you mean by that?”
