I'm sick of being called Junior. Sure, I'm William Nicholas Martens, Jr., but I just want to go by Nick. I'm sick of my boyfriend mismatching his socks on purpose. And I'm sick of being in the closet.<br><br>All this changes when my band Taking Back Nick lands a record deal. My friends Casey, Kennedy, Levi, and I are about to make it big. In one night I come out to my parents and break up with my boyfriend. And then the hard part starts. Casey is my oldest friend, and I move in with him after my breakup. But things ... start to happen.<br><br>We skyrocket to fame, but Casey finds himself in the middle of some serious addiction issues. Combined with him showing me so much affection, I start to worry there's more going on than just the stress of success. Will Casey be able to overcome his addictions and find happiness? Porch Light

Omar took us out to a fancy dinner and outlined our schedule for the next month. Not just time in the studio, but time with press, doing performances on local morning shows, making a music video…it was all just so unreal.


His concept for the music video was crazy. He wanted each of us to film some kind of intimate-looking scene with members of the same and opposite sex. A kind of “we’re wild and free, and we’re not sorry about it” kind of thing to go along with the song.


“I mean, don’t expect me to make out with a dude or something.” Levi took a bite of steak and finished his thought with his mouth full. “I’d be fine having a guy hug on me or whatever. Maybe the making out could be left for Junior.”


I sighed. “I mean, I guess I can come out to the world with our first single.”


“But it sounds like it’s more than that.” Casey looked thoughtful. “We can totally confuse people, make them wonder about us. Really get people talking.”
