Lucretious folded his arms around Kelwyn, holding him tightly and kissing him deeply, and though inside his mind Kelwyn was screaming negation against it, he kissed Lucretious back, answering utterly to other vampire’s will.

“Hells curse it.” Harun turned back from his second grab at the annoying mutt, and found that even though he was less than three feet from the stall and had been turned away for mere seconds, Kelwyn had vanished. He’d moved to help catch the runaway dog on pure instinct, he was always inclined to step in and assist people, it was just part of what he did. Yet now it had distracted him from his true task. He spotted Kelwyn exiting the stable and ran quickly after him.
