“Did we ever notice this before?” Howard asked.
“I think so. I think that’s why we’re here so unashamedly. I just don’t think we were ever really part of it before,” Jason said.
“We did go boating a few times with your clients,” Howard recalled.
“Yeah, I guess we looked a little nautical for that,” Jason said. “You always dressed us well.”
“I tried. I just didn’t want us to look like those matching gay couples where people start to wonder whether we’re twins or a couple.”
“I think you always did a great job,” Jason remarked.
“Well, thanks,” Howard said. “It never hurt that we were about the same size—not every man needs the shoulder room that we do in shirts.”
“No, but every man needs this salmon,” Jason said, reaching for a can on the shelf. “The more expensive one, right?”
“Exactly,” Howard agreed. “When I couldn’t remember whether to get the red or pink, Mom would always tell me to remember to get the more expensive one.”
