Chapter 16

“Is this one any good?” Jason asked.

Howard placed a can of salmon on the counter, and walked over to Jason.

“It’s from some weird vineyard, Image of Dionysus. I had to buy it,” Howard said.

“Wait, Dionysus, isn’t that some Greek god?”

“Yeah, the god of wine, fertility, and theater.”

“He sounds like fun,” Jason said, perusing the bottle. “Was he, Mr. English teacher?

“Oh, yeah,” Howard assured him. “Picture a middle-aged guy running around with a glass in his hand.”

“I think we’ve seen him at a few parties,” Jason said, reaching into a cabinet and pulling out two wine glasses.

“I think we’ve probably actually been him at a few parties,” Howard said with a smile, handing Jason a corkscrew, and taking the two glasses from him.

“Well, then,” Jason said, pushing the corkscrew into the bottle, and twisting it. “I think we’re going to have a blast.”

Howard held the two glasses out to him, while Jason filled them.
