“Oh, look. She’s going over to say hi to Jason. How sweet!” Marjorie practically purred. “I forgot that she’s been one of his clients for all these years.”

“Of course, she has,” Howard said.

“Here, Howard. I brought you another glass of wine. Drink that. I’m going to go say hi to Sophie. And don’t worry, I’ll check on Jason too. It’ll be easy since they’re next to each other,” Marjorie said.

“I’ll be here,” Howard replied, sipping on his wine, and staring at the woman across the yard who he realized really did look like a Greek goddess.

Howard had met many obnoxious, conniving, control freak, name droppers in his life, but Sophie took the cake. When Howard had first met Sophie, she had seemed charming and nice. She was married to Giorgio, just call me Gio, La Reux, one of the most gorgeous men Howard or Jason had ever seen.

“Do you think she knows?” Jason asked as they pulled up into Sophie’s giant circular driveway in front of her giant house so many years ago.
