Chapter 77

Now Josh was running for his life with an unknown quantity on his tail. Behind him, he heard Gavin crashing through the woods. The large werewolf gave little thought to moving around the obstacles Josh could duck under. From the sounds of it, Gavin seemed to prefer going through them.

Josh didn’t need to look behind him to know that Gavin was closing in. The lumbering beast must be taking one step for every three leaps Josh took. Speed was the only asset Josh had. His lighter frame squeezed through tighter spaces and easily cleared obstacles that Gavin crashed into.
