Chapter 35

Bobby burst out laughing. “I see I’m here in time for the show.”

“The show that will ensue when you tell Kitty about Zach. I got up early even after being dragged out of bed by two miscreants last night at midnight and being forced to eat blueberry pie and ice cream until three in the morning.”

“You’re going to make her crazy with all that sugar. She won’t be able to sit still.”

“Not my problem,” Bobby said. “Let’s all go into the kitchen and explain to Mrs. Schwartz and Kitty-cat why you were sleeping together on the sofa.”

“Maybe I should call Keith and be done with it.”

“Maybe you should,” said a booming voice on the other side of the screen door. “I brought Danish pastries.”
