Chapter 48

Mark watched as Greg pressed a button on a rather complicated phone system and asked, “Could you ask Mr. Mitchell to join us?”

When he came in, Reggie took a seat right next to Mark on the couch. He put his good arm around Mark’s shoulder and squeezed.

“Mark has deeply held beliefs about himself and his character that simply aren’t true,” Greg told Reggie as soon as he sat down.

Reggie nodded his head. “Mark is the bravest, most honorable man I ever met and he can’t see that.” Reggie squeezed Mark’s shoulders bringing him closer to his side on the sofa.

“I’m not going to continue today. Mark is too emotional right now and I’m going to write him a script. I want to see both of you Wednesday at noon. Mark, I need you to sign a disclosure agreement so that I can discuss you with Reggie and one from you, Reggie so I can discuss Mark with you if you’ll allow. The most efficient way to resolve this situation is to treat both of you separately, then together.”
