Chapter 50

“Bobby is one of the best friends any man could have. I wouldn’t trade him and his snark for a friendship with royalty.” Reggie knew Bobby’s snark covered a heart of gold.

Marla brought out the ribs to finish on the barbecue.

Keith took the platter and slid the ribs onto the grill. “I think Mark’s beginning to realize that now he has not only a lover but also friends. He’s not quite sure what to make of that.”

“The only example of friendship my Mark had was Jay, who screwed him over at his first opportunity because Mark couldn’t stand Jay screwing over someone else.” Keith reached down and opened the cooler by the grill and handed Reggie a beer. “Jay almost cost me Bobby, twice.” Keith grimaced.

“If Mark knew about the first time, he would have told you. There were no whispers so Mark had no idea what Jay said. Mark said the other bartenders were cheering Bobby on.” Reggie chuckled.
