“You can tell the others we’re cautiously optimistic just like I told Baumgartner earlier.” The doctor went over to examine Bella. “The spots have disappeared from her mouth and are receding from her hairline, face and neck. She looks like she’s resting comfortably.”  12


“Since Bella’s being released from the hospital today. I have to ask Dr. Amato if she’s well enough to attend Bobby and Keith’s wedding on Saturday, not the reception, just the ceremony,” Jack whispered to Carlo.


“Every time I come into this room I hear my name. What’s your question?” Amato asked as he entered the room.


“Can Bella go to our friends, Bobby and Keith’s wedding ceremony? It’s Saturday. We wouldn’t take her to the reception, just the ceremony.” Carlo put his arm around Jack.


“As long as she is getting adequate sleep and nutrition, I see no reason you can’t take her to both. But everyone who comes near her must wash their hands,” the doctor answered.
