Gary's Choice

“Why would anyone do something like that?” Danny asked. Both men looked surprised that Danny didn’t know what went on in sports. Gary put his arm around Danny in a back-slapping sort of hug.


Eddie said, “That’s the way it’s done. You better toughen up, kid. The world isn’t a nice place.” He looked over to Gary as if he knew something Danny didn’t.
