Dominique snatched up the remote and turned off the TV. “Fuck, if this is why you’re down here moping instead of upstairs banging the two of them, this is pathetic, even for you. You can’t seriously be jealous of Jesse.”
“There’s a lot going on you don’t understand, Dominique.”
“And I think there’s a lot going on you don’t want to. Jesse’s just doing the same thing he’s always done. He’s taking care of business. It just so happens, now his business is little bit bigger. That don’t mean you’re not any less important to him.”
Gideon scrubbed at his face. He had not come in here to get lectured at by a teenager. “Can we get back to the movie, please?”
“Not until you hear me out.”
“There’s nothing you can say to make this better.”
