“You look hot, babe,” I said.
His navy blue button-down shirt with rolled up sleeves was snug and showed off his firm chest and toned arms, making me want to eat him up. The blue was just the right shade to set off his grey eyes, and his auburn hair gleamed in the low light.
Taking my hand, he kissed it and said, “So do you, honey. You easily outshine every man here.”
Blushing, I ducked my head and took a sip of my water.
Putting his hand under my chin, Jeremy raised my head and said, “No, don’t hide from me. It’s the truth, and your ex is an idiot. I’m glad he is, too, because it gives me a chance to show you what a real man is made of.” He caressed my cheek, giving me a soft smile.
Of course, my insides were fluttering madly. My heart stopped and started. I had never felt so cherished, not even with Hunter. I knew now that what I had before was just a shadow of what could be, if I let it happen.
