“He’s a co-worker, and the guy who was staying in my house for all those weeks. I’ve known him for two years and I never thought he was interested in me. But apparently he was, and I think I blew it. Now he won’t even look me in the eye after he made a move and I sorta kinda rejected him.”
“What’s he look like?” he asked.
“You caught a glimpse of him, actually. Remember Club Xtra?”
Titus gasped. “You mean the guy in the mask, the blond who bought you the beer?”
“That’s the one.”
“Is he gorgeous?”
I sighed. “Beyond belief.”
“Hmmm. I wondered why you sounded so sappy when you described him that one time, but I didn’t mention it.”
“Uh, thanks?”
“You’re welcome,” he replied and giggled. “So, he likes to go clubbing on weekends?”
“Yes…” Why was he asking?
“Great! You’re at work, right?”
“Right…”
“I’ll pick you up in a few. We’re going out, and if it takes all night, we’re gonna find your guy and you’ll kiss and make up.”
