Chapter 26

Xander’s gaze jumped back and forth between them. As soon as Honey started forward as if to escape again, Xander shut the door.

“Oh, great,” Eddie sneered. “He’s letting himself in now. Please tell me you weren’t dumb enough to give him a key, Aaron.”

Xander frowned. “What’s this all about?”

Aaron stood, though he didn’t walk over to Xander’s side. A part of him still wanted to keep his relationship with Eddie, even though it was becoming increasingly obvious that it wouldn’t happen. So he stayed in the middle of the room, confused and feeling out of control.

“Mom told Eddie about my plans to move to New York. He’s come here to…discuss it.”

Eddie laughed, though it was more of a bray than anything else. “He’s lying. I came here to warn him off you, Xander. Because if you think for a second I’m going to let you involve my little brother in your sick games, you never knew me at all.”
